Provencal Jewish History

Through the visit of « careers » (or streets), synagogues and museums, this trip brings you in Avignon, Cavaillon and Carpentras. It is in this region that different Jewish communities, from the fourteenth to fifteenth century, benefiting from the presence of the Popes in Avignon, were granted the freedom of worship and right of residence, while the Kingdom of France banished them.
